How much up an down play is there in the driveshaft yoke where the yoke fits in the tailshaft? Darn Toyota,s and their driveshaft issues tearing out the tailshaft bushing huh Hopefully the rear tailshaft seal was hard as rock and no longer capabale of doing a good job of keeping the fluid inside the transmission.
- Jan 04, 2013 With the trans out, you can get to the input shaft bearing by removing the bearing retainer and snap ring, but I don't think you can get the bearing out without separating the case. I've gone thru a number of transmissions over the years (esp the piece of crap L52). I drive it until it's really bad.
