Asked Siri a question while the radio was playing. Once Siri answers the question the radio goes silent and switches source to CarPlay. This morning, I started the car and the radio played but none of the knobs or buttons on the console would work. I couldn't even turn it off.! I got to my destination and shut the motor off and restarted and the problem went away. I've made an appointment with the dealer to have this looked at.

The rear backup camera lines disappear and shortly thereafter the screen goes blank and the audio/navigation unit reboots. The N47 recall was applied on 5 Oct 2018, this issue may also result in non-conformance of the vehicle with the requirements of motor vehicle safety standards CMVSS 111 - Mirrors and Rear Visibility Systems. The Whitby Ontario Honda Service was unable to diagnose the issue as there were no errors nor could they reproduce the problem. They performed a battery hard reset on 14 Nov 2018.

The info-tainment system is terrible. I have an iPhone 8 and getting the phone to work with the Apple Carplay is a joke. I don't know what percentage of fault is with Apple or Honda but they need to work together make it better because the experience is terrible. The system restarts randomly. One time the entire entertainment system just froze and only came back after doing a hard reset by Honda loosing all my saved preferences and information. Most of the time you need to connect and disconnect and reconnect hoping it will recognize. Again I am using a current iPhone 8 with up to date software so this is unacceptable.

I called Honda and was moved up the chain of command and spoke with someone who was very knowledgeable with this problem and they claimed Honda knows Apple Carplay has a TON of bugs and doesn't work well with Honda's system. They claim there is nothing that can be done and to wait 'hoping' a fix comes out but she did say 'don't hold your breathe' because this has been a problem for years with Carplay compatibility.

ON my new 2018 Honda Accord sport 1.5 lt turbo the android auto failed from the outset . It stops working and it is saying 'not connected' when it is connected to cell phone and the Honda. Got on Youtube and watched video on how to reconnect phone and that worked for 3 minutes only. Honda has a big problem with this and needs a fix ASAP! Or I'll call it a Lemon Law case. Not happy at all with the system..

Brand new Accord EX-L, on way home from dealer (just after dealer closing) the Apple CarPlay crashed. Found 'fix' online which was to temporary reset settings and it worked. Two days later it has crashed again. Contacting Apple, Honda and the dealer as greatly displeased. More of the principle than anything that impacts my ability to use the phone or listen to music from the phone or use GPS (which I can do both via bluetooth).

Audio system not working properly with IPOD connected to car's USB port. Have a 3rd gen IPOD Nano. Worked at first in car. Then, an 'Error, Device No Response' memo would appear on the car touchscreen, but music still would play. Other times, the touchscreen message was, 'No device connected. Please connect compatible USB device into the vehicle to begin using this feature.' IPOD would not play. A couple of times, the IPOD actually froze up and I had to reset it. One time, the entire audio system in the car froze up. I could not even turn on the radio. IPOD worked fine for 5 years in my 2013 Accord. Bought a new IPOD Touch. It works better than the Nano but I still am unable to use the browse feature to access a song/artist alphabetically. Can only move to next songs by the track button. Brought car in to Honda dealer and they performed a 'battery reset'. This procedure had no effect. Dealer says I have to wait for a software update from Honda to fix this problem which they acknowledged has existed for 6 months.

Purchased the car in Dec 2017 and had this issue in the first 200 miles of ownership. Entertainment interface will randomly reboot. There are no indicators nor repeatable patterns to indicate what is causing the issue. Took it to the dealer and they 'reset the electrical system', but that didn't fix anything in the end since I still have issues with it. We log and report how often it occurs to the dealer and they informed us when Honda provides a fix. I checked for software updates through the interface and haven't seen anything come in as of yet (4.17.2018).

Have a 2018 Accord Touring 1.5CV. The Apple Car Play has ceased to work over the last few weeks. Brought to dealer who did a factory reset and that worked for 30min and then it stopped working again. Brought back to dealer and was told that Honda is aware of this based on a letter they have from December 2017 and does not have a fix for this currently. Called Honda and got the run around and we would let our engineering department know. So basically brand new car without one of the primary features they advertised is working and no one knows how to correct this.

display audio crashes and reboots

I just purchased a new 2018 Honda Accord Sport. I purchased the Sport model of the Accord over the LX model mainly because of the Android Auto, and Apple Car Play features.

Imagine my surprise when the Radio (what Honda Calls Display Audio). Crashed and rebooted on my way home from the dealership. Display Audio will crash almost immediately when connecting to my phone via Bluetooth, or connecting to Android Auto through a USB cable. I have turned off the Bluetooth function on my phone because it's guaranteed that Display Audio will crash. Sometimes Display Audio crashes so hard that it won't reboot itself until after I turn off the car, and restart it. A real pain if I'm on a long road trip. Display Audio is really just an Android Tablet that is mounted on the dash of the Accord so it should be inherently stable, but the version they have running in the 2018 Accord is not ready for prime time. I have tried doing a factory data reset on Display Audio, but it didn't solve the problem.

What sort of improvements can I expect?

The tune is designed to give a conservative yet exhilarating 10% improvement in performance. With this Hondata performance upgrade, your Accord will match the performance of many more expensive luxury cars.

Your Accord gains anywhere from 10 to 40 hp everywhere, with the maximum gains not at the top of the rev range, but where you need it most at the low end of the rev range. Rapid acceleration is just a quick flex of the throttle pedal away. 91 or higher octane recommended.

Yup definitely one of the best mods you can get right now. Forget the intake, exhaust, bov or whatever rice stuff. This is the best bang for your buck for power.

FlashPro at 20-21psi i can get 5.7-6 seconds 0-60

Still getting 30-47mpg on the highway depending how many hills I got to climb

Syntec:

What won me over initially was throttle response and how much more torque the car had. The moment when my foot went to the floor on the gas, the first thought was, 'Oh shit!' and honestly was surprised it was the same car I have except properly tuned. (Hellooooo wheel-slip ).

Silverghost

Oh yea it hauls some ass for sure.

SilverDyme

Let me tell one thing..it pulls HARD on the street wow!

dallasjhawk

The car sits you back in your seat and the traction control kicks in under full throttle bc the tires will break loose as max boost hits. Maybe its the cool weather helping it lose traction but it doesnt do that on the stock tune. And it feels effortless for this car to pass at freeway speeds when giving it some gas pedal.

sarknatron

The quickest 0-60 time I've been able to pull using the torque app was a 6.3.. I feel a huge difference between stock and using the flashpro. It pushes you back in your seat

CEXT

There's a dramatic difference in acceleration. 40-90mph took about 7.4 seconds (flat road), compared to 10 seconds stock.

Stevo

Just got my FlashPro and loaded a basemap 6 PSI boost with Injen CAI. Wow, feels like a different car. Big gains!

joel1188

I have put it on my Malaysian 1.5T Civic and managed to achieve a new top speed (of 268 kph) on the dyno. no more getting stuck at 207km/h on the highways anymore.
